Thompson owns and operates Home Buyers LLC,
a
real estate investment company which specializes in purchasing, renovating,
and selling single and multifamily homes in and around Waterbury, CT.
Under Robyn's direction, Home Buyers LLC has grown phenomenally over the
years. Robyn purchases 50 homes per year since 1998.
Robyn cashes out 97% of her houses to "A" credit buyers in record time. She has made retailing a science and knows every technique imaginable to
- reduce rehab time,
- minimize holding costs,
- attract and qualify good credit buyers, and
- expedite closings!
A graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. degree in accounting, Robyn has also completed core requirements for a master's degree in international finance at the University of New Haven. She spent several years in corporate America as a financial analyst before seeking to fulfill her entrepreneurial dream on a full-time basis. To date, she has completed numerous courses in real estate investment and marketing sponsored by Success Development International, an investment and educational organization based in Jacksonville, Florida.
In 1999, Robyn began teaching her own course entitled Retailing for All Cash to real estate entrepreneurs around the United States. Her students appreciate her dynamic, candid, and informative teaching style. She is currently developing new courses, as well as an audiocassette series and has recently released a new videotape series.
This fall, Robyn purchased and renovated an office building in historic downtown Waterbury to serve as the new headquarters of Home Buyers LLC. Her staff presently consists of four individuals who perform a variety of tasks related to property acquisition, repair, and management, as well as sales, marketing, and clerical support.
In addition to her business activities, Robyn is also involved in local community affairs. This year, she purchased a single family home to renovate with the purpose of donating the profits from the sale of the house to two local preschoolers in need of heart transplants. Robyn was instrumental in soliciting local contractors, suppliers, staff, neighbors, and members of the media to donate their time and services to this worthwhile cause.
